Mission  

Develop relevant, responsive and data driven total force manpower and management and military personnel policies and programs, and provide oversight on assignments, separations, force management, military decorations and awards, Voluntary Education, and Transition Assistance in support of Department of Defense and the sustainment of the All-Volunteer Force.

Ensure total force manpower management and military personnel policies and programs support the Secretary of Defense, Military Departments, and the Combatant Commanders in managing their uniformed personnel while executing their statutory and assigned roles and missions.
